ALYSON CUNANAN

SPEECH THERAPIST

Alyson Cunanan, is a UK trained Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from University College London with a Masters of Science in Speech and Language Sciences. She is currently registered under the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. 

Alyson has experience working within large and reputable NHS trusts. She has worked with both adult and paediatric clients various settings including hospitals, neurorehabillitation sites,  schools, and early years clinics. She has experience providing high-quality assessment and management of acquired and developmental communication disorders, speech disorders, and swallowing disorders.

Alyson is committed to delivering the highest level of care, achieved by building strong client to clinician relationships with clients and their families. She takes on an individualised and adaptive approach in her sessions to enable her clients to feel supported and empowered. 

Alyson has lived in Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom and is multilingual. She speaks English, Tagalog, Kapampangan, and Japanese. 

As a therapist, Alyson is driven towards making a positive change in her work. Furthermore, she is passionate towards advocating for mental health and wellbeing, and promoting diversity within healthcare.
