SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Nitya is a qualified Speech Language Therapist and has worked as a paediatric Speech-Language Therapist in India and Singapore, after having completed her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), India.

Nitya is skilled in providing holistic speech-language assessments and interventions to children with neurodevelopmental disorders, feeding and swallowing difficulty, learning disorders and social communication deficits. She is a strong believer in an interdisciplinary team approach to management of speech language and learning disorders, having worked with a team of allied health professionals in various hospital, clinic and school settings. She is also an advocate of caregiver empowerment and upholds contribution of all stakeholders through the intervention process.

She is enthusiastic and dynamic in her approach and incorporates practical, evidence-based strategies in therapy sessions. She frequently attends various professional workshops and training to upskill and keep updated with the latest research and evidence-based practice.

She also takes a keen interest in research, having authored several research publications in national and international journals. She converses fluently in English, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi.
