About Perah Memon
PERAH MEMON
Perah Memon is a UK-trained Speech and Language Therapist, who graduated from University College London with a Master of Science in Speech and Language Sciences. She is currently registered under the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Perah has extensive experience in the specialist assessment and management of clients with speech, language, communication and swallowing needs. She has worked across early years clinics, schools, acute hospitals, neurorehabilitation units and private homes in the community. Perah has a special interest in adult neurorehabilitation, working with clients with language or speech difficulties post-stroke.
Perah has worked across the globe including the United Kingdom, Pakistan and Indonesia, which has honed her skills in person-centred and individualised therapy approaches, with holistic care at the centre of her practice. Perah consistently aims to adapt her techniques and resources, to make them culturally and personally relevant. She aims to work towards the overall aim of supporting every child and adult to reveal their communicative competence with the support of others around them.
Perah works within an evidence-based model, with two published papers to her name, she aims to empower individuals through innovative approaches that are grounded in the latest advancements in the field. She is passionate about global health initiatives and about bridging gaps in speech and language therapy provision across the globe.
