Fria Rica is a dedicated Speech Pathologist, having worked with several educational partners for the past several years.
A doting aunt, she has treated her patients much like her own family, building relationships with them and making them feel like regular students, at ease with their own capacities and always encouraging them through her kindness and sunny disposition. She also establishes strong connections with the parents of her pediatric patients, also guiding them by firmly establishing the centre-home partnership for the children.
Since her graduation from the University of the Philippines in Manila in 2010, she has become a Certified Speech and Language Pathologist, PROMPT Level 2 Trained and has been a consultant Speech Pathologist for Kidspeak Therapy Center, The Early Steps Therapy Center, and the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in their Neurodevelopmental Center, administering to pediatric and adult patients. Through the years, she has handled many different cases needing the expertise of a speech pathologist, from students with ADHD, Autism/ASD Speech Delay to cases of patients with Cerebral Palsy.
Eventually on July 2018, she has been one of the Affiliation Center Clinical Training Supervisor for De La Salle University Health Sciences Institute-Neurodevelopmental Center in Cavite under the College of Rehabilitation Sciences – Speech Pathology Department.
She is a member and affiliate of the Philippine Association of Speech Pathologists (PASP) and the PROMPT Institute and is an active member of the Catholic Church in her hometown of Imus Cavite in the Philippines.
